The Chicken or The Egg
There is an on-going debate on the need of a resume before a job search or knowing the jobs your searching for before you need a resume. After all, if you have a resume you can start applying right away and meet those jobs with a quick preparedness others may not have.
The downside to this is you could fall in to a trap of casting a net too wide. Of course, when someone is in need of a job right away, the net may feel like it is never wide enough, but when you are searching for the next step in a satisfying career it should be the right fit for both parties.
We are highly supportive of finding the jobs you want first, before writing a resume. Why? Because you want your resume to speak directly to the job you are applying for.
We think of each job posting as its own language and dialect. Some may be similar, however there are small nuances to each posting you will need to pay attention to if you are truly interested in what they have to offer.
In this course we’re going to look at:
Where to look for jobs which will fit into your Career Road Map
Understanding the Job Descriptions once you’ve found those jobs
Applying to jobs you truly want
Networking to take your job search to the next level and further your career
