Hi guys!! I’m back with my monthly lifestyle blogpost for Elarie Consulting! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Belen, the founder of a Hint of Life– a personal improvement blog that touches on self-help, career and style; my mission is to help others find ways to better themselves, in a stylish way.
So, today I want to talk to you about 3 SIMPLE things you need to do to have a great day, every day.
- Commit to waking up at the same time every day. I know this is difficult (I’ve been there) but here’s a trick: Everyday, set your alarm 30 minutes earlier than the day before. This will train your body to wake up naturally and you won’t dread it as much. Ideally, you want to give yourself at least 1.5 hours before you must leave for work. If you work from home, you are in luck! In my case, I work from home and typically start my day at 9am so my alarm is set for 7am because I like to take my time in the mornings.
- Have something to look forward to in the mornings. Yes, work should be something we look forward to, but in this case, I mean something personal. It could be meditation, a good book, a warm bath, or anything that you look forward to since the night before. In my case, working out in the morning has been the thing I look forward to in the mornings. Have you heard of BBG workouts? I talk about it here – take a look if you are interested in quick, effective workouts to kick-start your day.
- Make sure to eat a good, healthy breakfast. This is SO important because it will set up your energy for the rest of the day. I recommend eating protein, carbs, and fruit. For example, eggs with an Ezekiel toast and an orange for vitamin c. Starting your day without a balanced breakfast, will trick your mind into eating more for lunch and dinner – which is never a good feeling; isn’t it?
These 3 things will help you have a great day, every day of the week. I cannot say it enough, PLANNING is everything and although routines might seem like a boring thing for some, they show results.
Give these 3 steps a try and let me know what you think. Have you been waking up at a certain time consecutively during the week??
